The Farouk CHI Pro GF 1505


Tired of buying cheap, inexpensive hair dryers and not being at all happy with the results? I hear you! I was exactly the same way until I took a chance and bought a Farouk CHI Pro GF 1505.

Over the years, I’ve certainly collected a fair share of ‘bargain’ hair dryers. I’m sure you’ve been there. Collecting those inexpensive hair dryers that just ‘frizz’ out your locks and practically make you deaf with their roar!

I have long hair, but I was seriously considering getting it cut. It became just too much of a hassle – especially drying it. That task was becoming just too much of drudge and my hair never did seem to get dry.

One day my hairdresser recommended I quit being such a cheap-o and really should consider investing in a Farouk CHI Pro GF 1505.

We all seem to love our hair the way the hairdresser does it. Well, at least I do. But I could never get the same result at home. I just figured that there was some special techniques the stylists use (and I’m sure there are) but I never gave much thought to the actual tools my beautician uses. Duh!

So based on my stylists recommendation, I said “what the heck” and went over to Amazon to get me one.

Again, there was that price tag! But I really needed to stop being so penny-pinching tight and remember what dad always said: ‘you get what you pay for’.

I read over the product reviews on Amazon – and I was surprised how many comments there were.  A lot!  The vast majority of reviews gave the CHI dryer 4 and 5 star ratings. (I always like to hear what others have to say before I plunk down my hard-earned cash. Did I mention I’m a tight wad?)

So after spending some time reading over the comments, I took the plunge. I hit the add-to-order button and waited for by CHI Pro GF 1505 hair dryer to arrive.

And arrive it did!

I first noticed it had a little ‘heft’ to it, but not too much. It weights just under 2 and half pounds. That’s fine and not hard to manage at all.

I love the long cord! I’m not one to stay in one place for long so the cord gives me a little wiggle room as I wander around the bathroom.

The down and dirty review is that the CHI Pro GF 1505 dried my hair fast! And it’s super quiet.

Maybe it’s just me, but my hair just feels so much healthier and shinier when dried with my CHI. And it’s not all frizzy and fly away like the results I had been getting with the cheap dryers.

My new Chi dryer smoothes out split-ends and damage and gives my locks a softer, bouncier appearance. I’m loving it!

Features of the Farouk CHI Pro GF 1505

  • Cool shot button. This really works!
  • Far Infared Heat dries hair from the inside and locks in moisture. The manufacturer claims this technology dries hair 50% faster than traditional dryers. I don’t claim to understand it – but I’m a believer!
  • Flash heating heats up in seconds. Really fast! All ceramic plates are great for heat distribution.  (I guess this is what we’re paying extra for, but it’s worth it.)
  • Long cord is nice for any application. (Did I mention I like to wander? And I’ve done my ‘battles with short cords before. What a pain.)

And the CHI Pro GF 1505 comes with a *free* finger diffuser attachment and concentrator nozzle. I do like the concentrator for getting to my roots.

If you’re thinking about cutting your long hair due to the hassles of drying and fizzing, I highly recommend you consider getting this hair dryer. I’m certainly glad I did!

Chances are you too will feel the difference in your hair right away. The CHI Pro GF 1505 is something I’d definitely buy again!
